Having qualified in Marketing and Sales Management in 1991, Debbie traveled extensively around the world, gaining invaluable international work experience in London, Hong Kong, Singapore and Sydney, Australia. Since her return to South Africa, at the end of 1998, Debbie has continued her career in the hospitality, conferencing and events industry, having achieved executive management level in a multi-national hospitality organisation before leaving to start Event Management Solutions.

Debbie is very much a people’s person who invests a lot of time and energy into working closely with each committee and in-so-doing keeping everyone fully informed every step of the way. She brings broad-based management experience to every event through her ability to think, plan and implement strategically. She has been privileged to manage several medical conferences over the last few years which has allowed her to meet and work with many doctors and professionals from all areas within the medical sector and more specifically those working at Red Cross Children’s Hospital, Groote Schuur and UCT.

On larger projects, Event Management Solutions employs the services of Centeq Events to manage the on-line registration, on-line transactions, abstract management and accommodation. The on-line database and registration management system, Events Pro and Events Interactive, allows the management committee complete access to registration and financial reporting, via the Internet.

Debbie has worked with Crystal and Juanita for over 10 years, on various projects. The synergy has worked very effectively through the combining of resources and professional experience as professional conference organisers.
